Ed Nierescher
Ed is a senior accountant with The Fiscal Management Division of The State of Michigan's Department of Management and Budget. He has also worked as an Assistant Auditor General for Michigan's Office of The Auditor General. Prior to working for The State of Michigan, Ed was employed as an auditor at a public accounting firm and has also worked over twenty years managing private businesses.
Ed is a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM). He has been an active member of The Association of Government Accountants (AGA) Greater Lansing Chapter since January of 1999 where he has served as Chapter Community Service Chair, President-Elect, President and Past President.
Mr. Nierescher has a Bachelor of Arts in Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor University and a Masters of Science in Accountancy from Western Michigan University.
Ed has coached a coed softball team for over six years and enjoys fishing, camping, hiking, biking and attending sporting events. He and his wife Sharon have four grown children and six grandchildren.
